George Qualley IV

George Qualley IV graduated from Drake Law School with a Juris Doctorate degree as well as a Litigation and Dispute Resolution certificate. In addition, Mr. Qualley has earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Drake University College of Business and Public Administration. While at Drake, Mr. Qualley provided free legal representation to low income clients at the Drake Legal Clinic. Mr. Qualley is admitted to the Iowa bar, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and has also appeared in Federal District Court in the Northern District of Iowa. Mr. Qualley is a member of the American Bar association, the Polk County Bar Association, and the Iowa State Bar Association. In addition, Mr. Qualley has been appointed to t the Technology committee of the Iowa State Bar Association.

Mr. Qualley and his wife Betsey reside in the Drake neighborhood of Des Moines, Iowa where they are currently in the process of restoring a historic 19th century Victorian home.

Thomas K. Bleyhl graduated from Drake Law School with high honors, receiving top grades in Constitutional Law I, Constitutional Law II, and Workers' Compensation. While in law school, Mr. Bleyhl was research editor of the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law. Tom engages in the general practice of law in Iowa, where he is admitted to the Iowa bar. Tom is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Polk County Bar Association.

George T. Qualley graduated from Drake Law School with a Juris Doctorate degree in December 1957 and was appointed to the U.S. Department of Justice under the Attorney General’s Honor Student Program where he practiced as a trial attorney until 1960 when he acquired the tax practice of then newly elected U.S. Senator Jack Miller. Mr. Qualley has been admitted to the bars for the states of Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Maryland, and the District of Columbia as well as the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. Supreme Court. He has performed legal services in a wide variety of state and federal trials involving a wide variety of issues. Some of the legal issues have involved anti trust, fraud, trade secrets, Virus Serum Toxin Act, USDA and FDA regulations and various types of property claims. Mr. Qualley now functions as a senior consultant to the firm of Qualley & Bleyhl P.L.C.

Jason T. Huffman

Jason T. Huffman received his Juris Doctorate degree from Drake Law School. While at Drake Mr. Huffman participated in Criminal Defense Clinic and was on the Moot Court Board. Jason is a graduate of the University of Iowa. He is also an officer in the Army National Guard. Following law school Jason was deployed to Afghanistan as an advisor to the Afghan military. His practice includes, but is not limited to, criminal and juvenile law.
